{Sec School Gathering}

We found some secondary school classmates through Facebook and decided that it's high time to meet up and see how one another has changed. One third of the class turned up - Mustafa, Suyanto, Limei, Hamiza, Hanwei, Jasmine, Winnie, Zhenhao, Yongxiang, Ferris and me. And out of these 11, I keep in touch with half pretty often.

It's really nice to catch up and talk about the silly things we used to do in school. That was like more than 16 years ago! How time flies... We had great fun catching up and we even did a round of "self-intro"... very funny! We were so engrossed in catching up that we didn't take a group photo before some of them left.

As if we're addicted to catching up, we're organising another gathering within the next month and we're hoping to gather more people to join in. Quite excited about it... let's see how it goes. :)

{Happy 1st Birthday Reeann}

Time flies... one year ago, we visited Winnie and her baby Reeann in TMC. Today, this little girl turns one!

She's one cool kid, I tell you... very "got character"! haha... she plays with toy cars and if you were to give her soft toys, she will take it from you to "patronise" you. But within seconds, the soft toy leaves her hands and her sight and she goes back to her toy cars.

She takes a while to warm up to people she doesn't meet often. You can't even look at her... you have to let her scrutinise you, analyse you and then after a while, you're "allowed" to look at her and play with her... and when you get to play with her, you get to hear her contagious laughter!! hahahaha VERY cute!!!

Happy birthday Reeann!! May you grow up to be healthy, happy and blessed!

{Audrey & Vernon's Big Day}

One of the key TTC occasions this year is this day, the day Audrey and Vernon become man and wife.

My dear friend, I can't tell you enough how happy I am for you. I pray that our Father God will bless you both exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask and that your days ahead as one will be filled with His love, joy, peace, happiness and bliss.

Therefore what God joined together, let not man separate.
~ Mark 10:9 (NKJ)

{25 weeks}

Today's the big wedding day of my good old friend of 20 years, Audrey. I rented this halter-neck, low-back, black cocktail dress from Maternity Exchange. Love the dress... and I'm contemplating if I should own it instead. But it costs S$270!! I'd probably get to wear it once more at another wedding end of this year... and maybe again some years later when someone else gets married when I'm pregnant again. hahaha...

Renting it costs me about S$75. If I were to rent it again end of this year, that would cost me a total of $150. Hmmmm... Rent? Buy? Yes, no? I'll have to decide before 2 Nov when I have to return it to the shop.

Oh and I wore heels today! And I was running around coordinating some stuff during the wedding lunch. Felt fine until I finished my tasks and my feet were killing me... Calvin shakes his head and says, "ai sui mai mia" (read in Hokkein). haha... So I decided that I'm gonna go in flats for the wedding dinner later.

{Gifts from NJ}

I got an email early last week that notifies me of a parcel that's on its way to Singapore from New Jersey and the sender is Eric Yeo. Nicole didn't breathe a word about sending something to me... so I'm really surprised and excited. *smile smile

We were out the whole day on Sat, busying ourselves with my gyane check-up, hair-cuts, visit Jo's beautiful princess Trisha, cord blood banking seminar and dinner with Corinna and Rick. When we got home after dinner, I found this Singpost delivery slip. The postman came by that afternoon and we missed the parcel.

Popped by the post office after work today to pick it up. Here's the contents of the parcel...

Calvin was guessing if Nicole has blessed us with some cloth diapers... Lo and behold... that's exactly what she got for us. (^_^) Thank you, babe! Have you started using the cloth diapers on Cheyenne yet?

My cute friend Nicole made me chuckle when I saw what else was in the parcel... Packets of anchovies fillets! Earlier this year, I was telling her I can't find this ingredient in the supermarkets here and maybe that's why my aglio olio pasta is not as yummy as it's supposed to be. She uses them for her pasta and she got them for me! Now I have anchovies fillets to yummify my pasta... airflown from US somemore... hehe. THANK YOU! Will let you know what difference it makes to my pasta... :p

{Tick Tock}

Our old clock quit on us some weeks back and it's so inconvenient not having a time-telling instrument at home... We saw this cool looking clock in the Ikea catalogue and Calvin went to get it this morning to bring us back some convenience. Nice?

{Pretty little gift for 小B}

Yee Tong was in New York for a meeting last week and while she's there, she went shopping for the princesses (Wendy's Saffy and my 小B)... She got the princesses these pretty little princess socks from Toys R Us. Aren't they lovely?? Each pair even had little diamantes on them. So sweet...

小B says, "Thank you Auntie Tong Tong! (^_^) Love them and can't wait to wear them.."

{Bird's Nest Soup}

This is something I thought I'd never consume again in my life. Many years back, my mom made me some bird's nest to nourish me back to good health when I fell ill. But I wasted her money and her efforts by puking everything out soon after I drank it. The taste just made me throw up. Some months later, not wanting to waste the other half of the bird's nest that she bought, she made me another round of it. Again, I threw everything up. Ever since then, the thought of bird's nest made me gag...

Now that I have 小B, I decided to give it another shot, for the many good health benefits that come along with it. Corinna gave us one serving to test out my tolerance for it. My handsome hubs prepared it for me today... (^.^) *so pampered...

The bird's nest soup was ready for me when we got back from Senso. The bird's nest taste wasn't as strong as I remembered it to be. Maybe becos Calvin put a few pieces of yang sheng pian into the soup.

Met Aunt Annie for lunch today and she bought us a box of bird's nest and a bottle of yang sheng pian. So thoughtful of her... Good that I can "swallow" bird's nest now. Thank you Gou Gou... luv ya!!

{Anniversary Dinner}

Going back to Senso for dinner is a must on our anniversary. It would have been ideal if we could be there on 29 September. But nonetheless, we had a great evening...

Coming back to Senso is such a great pleasure... It brings back beautiful memories of our wedding.. the fun we had with our family and friends, the love that fills the air that night... Just looking at this painting warms my heart and makes me smile. It feels like it was just yesterday. How time flies...

Ivan (GM of Senso) is as sweet as ever. We really had him to thank for our beautiful wedding night a year ago. He accommodated every one of our requests and all his service staff were amazing that night. We didn't meet any of them tonight as Ivan has given them the day off as it's Hari Raya. We really like this guy... We're reminded again of all the reasons why we chose to have our wedding dinner at Senso... great food, great wine, great ambience, great service, great everything.

Ivan surprised us with their yummy tiramisu as we were about to order our desserts. So thoughtfully sweet... as usual. I've never been a fan of tiramisu but theirs are really great!

We'll be back again, same time next year. As Ivan said, "See you next year with your baby.." 小B will be there with us to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. (^_^)
