{Bali ~ White Water Rafting}

This is my 2nd white water rafting experience. My 1st was in Bali too and that happened like 12 years ago when I went with Michele and Qan. As far as I can remember, it was more exciting then. Maybe this particular "stream" that we went to isn't exactly that exciting. It's Calvin's 2nd time too. His 1st was in New Zealand. I saw those pictures... It definitely looks MUCH MUCH MUCH more exciting. It's Jasmine's FIRST though... Was it up to your expectation Jas??

But anyhow, we had a great time! It was fun! The guide wanted to give his customers (us) an easy time, so he paddled mostly on his own. But I kept turning around to ask "paddle"?? Cos we all so wanted to paddle and go faster.... haha. It was quite funny. Then we reached this waterfall and stopped over for PHOTO TAKING. Sooooo touristy... Well, that's where you get all these pictures.

{Bali ~ Kuta}

Haven't got down to posting pics from our Bali trip. Calvin's on duty today, so here I am in the office, doing a little collage of our scorching session at Kuta.

We went out to the beach really early that day. It was our last day in Bali. (oops, looks like I'm doing a back-tracking report on our trip...haha). The sun was REALLY good!! Calvin went running on the beach and I'm sure he went to "bio za bor" too... haha. While he was at that, Jasmine n I was just baking... and we get to bio some hunks too. There was this group of men, who looked like they're a part of the England soccer team (*slurp slurp) running on the beach... and there was also this other really cute guy running alone. So ya, there you have it, bunch cute guys running on the beach of Kuta. Oh yes..that includes my handsome hunk.. hehe (*__^)

Only regret... we didn't try surfing. Those guys were touting the whole time, trying to get us to rent the surf boards... But, lazy us decided to just crash on the sand...haha. Well, we'll be back... maybe... :p

{Bonding}

I don't use to run. Given a choice, I'll prefer the pool to the track. As for Calvin, either is fine. I started running quite a bit 2 years back. I used to wake up at 6am on a work day and go for a 5km run before heading to work. Finding it hard to believe huh? haha... Well, yes I did that and it's really a good way to start the day! But some time last year, I started feeling the strain on my knee and it hurts quite bad. I haven't ran in the last 1 year.

So on this lazy humid Sunday afternoon, Calvin suggested we go for a brisk walk to Pierce Reservoir and if my knee feels ok, we can go for a 2.4km run. So, we did that. After walking and running, we had dinner at Casuarina before strolling back home hand in hand... :-) This is indeed a fantabulous way to bond. I love times like this. It feels as if there's only the 2 of us in the whole world.

Let's do this again, baby... (^_-)

{Trust me, this creature exists!}

Let me paint you the scenario and you tell me what you would do.

You were driving to a client’s dinner with 3 colleagues in your car. When you arrived at the venue, you asked the 3 of them to alight while you wait for the valet attendant to assist you. So, the 3 colleagues alighted from each of the 3 passenger doors. The one sitting behind was a wee bit slower. You didn’t notice that she was still getting out and you drove off. In that instance, the back wheel of your car ran over her foot, she lost her balance and she nearly fell. Her beautiful high-heel cracked and the heel strap broke. Your 2 other colleagues hurriedly ran over to help her and to check if her foot is alright, if there’s any swelling and if any bone broke, etc… What would you do at this point?

I guess your answer would be rather predictable. You would dash over and check on her and probably apologize profusely. I would probably cry in shock. I believe with a sincere heart that the least any normal human being would do is to ensure that this colleague is fine and her foot is not crushed by the car.

Well, in reality, this is what happened to me!

Yours truly happens to be the victim in the above scenario. I was getting out of my director’s car when she decided to focus on her bosses and not take notice of the small fry behind her. So, yes… she ran her car over the heel of my right foot!! I had my CEO and ex-MD fussing over me, checking on my foot for the next few minutes. So when my director was done with the valet, she came over and said “it’s ok one lah… my boyfriend always run the car over my feet one… no problem one… I spoil your shoes huh… 我赔给你…”

#*^$@*#&%^#$@# NOT A SINGLE FREAKING WORD OF APOLOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes… I’m telling you such creatures exist in this world ok!!! BUT BUT BUT, may God bless her and may she live to be 120!!!

Thank God for His divine protection! Thank God for protecting my small foot from crushing! Thank God for loving me!

{Dinner for my hardworking baby}

The 1st weekend of June is always a full working weekend for Calvin. He starts work at 6am and won't end until 12am and sometimes beyond. So this weekend, I decided to be a good "housewife". Mop the floor, do the laundry, and of course COOK.

Calvin came home on Sunday and when he walked into the kitchen, he went "WOW.. WOW.. WOW.. WOW..".
He was clearly surprised and impressed.. ahem! (-_*) Happy and full of pride (even though it's a simple meal)!!! My head must have hit the ceiling that moment! hahahaha... I was so afraid that it will be a case of 好看不好吃, BUT my baby finished everything, every carrot, every asparagus... he didn't even talk much during dinner. I WAS OVERJOYED!!!!!

I've never really enjoyed cooking, but now I truly understand the joy of cooking for the man of your life.
